Jisoo Kim is currently a Senior Advisor at Yulchon, one of the major law firms in Korea, focused on M&A, real estate and private equity. Prior to Yulchon, he was a Managing Director at CLSA Capital Partners where he spearheaded business development efforts for its pan-Asia real estate funds. Mr. Kim has over 25 years of experience in Asia in investment banking, retail operations, private equity investment and law.
Prior to joining CLSA, Mr. Kim served as Senior Vice President for Global Development at Fast Retailing Co. Ltd, the largest apparel retail company in Japan, where he was responsible for cross border M&A activities and also acted as President of UNIQLO France. From 1996 to 2007, he was Asia Pacific General Counsel at GE Real Estate and Vice President at Morgan Stanley Japan, where he was involved in numerous cross border investment and securitization transactions across Asia.
Mr. Kim was born in Seoul, Korea, and grew up in Korea and Japan. He has a B.A. in Economics from Brown University, a Master’s degree from Columbia University, a law degree from Fordham University, and a joint Executive MBA degree from Tsinghua University and INSEAD. He speaks four languages.
